Hi my name is Eileen and i've been pondering on this topic for a long time.
Should the courts actually prevent the abuse of legislative power? I personally think that the courts, based on these reasons:
-Uphold the doctrine of separation of powers
-Uphold the rule of law
-Protect individual human rights
-Prevent lobby groups
-Ensure that there is no privilege of power by a certain party/group
-Ensure that the distribution of power between the commonwealth and state governments are fair and just
I would greatly appreciate it if there is any other opinions or suggestions regarding this topic. Any feedbacks would be greatly appreciated, as mentioned. Thanking anyone in anticipation.
