If you will read the original post, like all other posts on here, it clearly states the jurisdiction...do you even post on here? I have been a member for a day and I already know that.
 
So let me get your logic straight. It is okay to sell things that you find for a profit, as long as they are not traceable. Thank you for that information.
 
Chicago is a very unusual place. In Chicago, connected people get others to do them favors. I don't think any Chicago cop is gong to be buying used iPhones. Those coppers do okay with their salary and their side jobs.

I agree, jasman about a detective taking time to scare cash out of an Internet seller, even for a pal. Plus, the detective could get called before the police review board over using his badge to scare money out of a citizen.

It smells like putrefying fish to me, J.

But, check his details out, Google it and the phone number from which he called. See if you can connect any dots. I'm very curious.

This is what might be done in Mayberry, but not Chicago, New York, or even LA.
