Solicitation Registration

So, I guess I have no choice but to hire an attorney to get what should be a simple question, answered.

Yes, people do the same thing every day all across this wonderful country.

By the way, dropping $500 for a lawyer or a CPA to counsel you could avoid a massive tax bill or humongous gubmint fine down the road!

That's business for you. Nothing is simple.
After reading the law as provided in the above links, it seems fairly clear to me. I agree with your interpretation of the law. My question to you is if I use GoFundMe or a similar fundraising site to receive donations for conferences held in Arizona, would I need to abide by other states solicitation laws if someone or a business located in another state makes a donation? Thanks.

FYI, OP:

GFM & FakeBook BOTH allow what you are considering OP.

GoFundMe is launching a new free-to-use fundraising platform for nonprofits of all sizes called GoFundMe Charity; and for the first time, it has created a button that can be integrated into any site to donate money wherever people want to do so. Oct 14, 2019

Personal fundraising on Facebook: Set up, Fees, & Payouts
Thank you for your response. I wasn't able to find the website to either GFM or Fakebook. Can you please elaborate?

The problem with GoFundMe Charity is that I am not a nonprofit. But, the regular GoFundMe should work just fine.

Each website explains it's requirements in great detail.

If you have questions, both provide a number where a prospective entity could seek guidance.

Thank you for adding the links in your previous post. I overlooked them. Sorry about that. Thank you for this information.
