I'm currently still employed with the company. My question is, the company is in the process it down since they have a outsource our job to another country. And recently they have started to suspending ppl for some minor thing that should of been just a slap on the hand instead they suspended the person than it became termination so the company can avoid paying the severence package. Is there something we can do to protect ourself? If we do get terminated can it be brought up as wrongful termination? or can i quit since the job has become so stressful and they have been doubling my work load can that be bought up as constructive wrongful termination? Thank u!

Severance is not required by law.

Terming you under the circumstances you describe does not violate the law; therefore it is not a wrongful termination.

I seriously doubt that quitting because of an expanded work load will qualify you for UI but you are free to try it and see.
