I think this thread has gone about as far as it can go. Anna, you may certainly take legal action against him for the abuse if you have the appropriate evidence. For best results, use a lawyer. However, this does not prohibit him from saying he's going to get an RO, or even from doing so. He has that right as well. Leave him alone, and perhaps he won't.
