Want to Leave home

I'm 16, and want to leave home and move in with a friend, and have gotten consent from his parents. Am I allowed to do this? What legal things does this entail? Thanks

If your parents do not consent then you will be considered a runaway. The only way you could legally do this is with emancipation, which is not easy, and each state law is different.
