Is there taped survailance over each register? If there is, they should be able to go back and see the sale of the lighters, seeing the kid buy them, and maybe see how much change was handed back. It would help to have proof.

Yes I did ask the question Green Hornet. And no there are no cameras in the store at all. But the girl who told the manager saw the last purchase screen and it totalled $1.13.
