I worked at a tow company. I impounded a car... I took out a cellphone to put it away in our secured storage locker. Before I was able to put it away I got sent on another call... stayed busy the rest of the night(grave yard shift). I didn't turn in the phone until the following morning.
My boss fired me for that reason
. Worked there for 5 years. I was not warned, written up or suspended. He called it "Blatant misconduct in violation both company procedure and company policy. Terminated for cause in gross violation of trust in the mishandling of customer property" :no::cussing:
