It made me guffaw - especially when I saw the video in the comments.
My kitties would never ever tolerate that. If I even tried, I would end up in the ER needing an artery stitched.

I saw some great photos of the eclipse. I'd have liked it to be visible here. I think it would be amazing to watch in person and get my own photos of it.
Also that video that jusrblue put up is hilarious. Very patient kitties. A lot of cats really don't like having things put on their heads, especially if it covers the ears.
We were in the path of totality for the one that was visible in the US in '24... Unfortunately, Mother Nature was uncooperative, and it was overcast. That made it somewhat eerier, though, as I somehow didn't expect it to get as dark as it did (I don't know why).
There's a photo of a skateboarder, mid-jump - against the black background and surrounded by the Ring of Fire... rather spectacular.
