my story is i have recieved a traffic violation back in 1996 with a fine of 3986.00 , for driving a truck overweight.Pennsylvania iwas paying the clerk of courts a payment every month ,which i had verbaly agreed to, and then after a few years they turned it over to a credit company called NCC . i have been paying them when i can ,and when i have a few extra dollars to give .now i just recieved a phone call from them ,and the lady RUDELY! started telling me to get to get a job!,and i imediatly said nothing and let her ramble. she tried telling me that i made an agreement to pay them 50.00 a month, which in fact i never did. as she was insulting me i stated that i take care of my 1 year old son everyday,and havent been working full time ,she then stated "well ya should have thought about that before ya had a kid!" i then shut up again.i was not rude to the lady in any way shape or form.i know i owe the debt ,and am paying as much as i can afford right now,is there any advice to which you people can give me? i have never in my life been that insulted by a company! after she was done with her remarks she stated that the balance must be paid in full . its 986.00 i have now way to pay this amount in full ,i struggle now as it is. help please with some advice .she said she was taking legal action !!!! i know nothing ,i am blind to the law! is there any limatations on a fine from 1996?'
