One month in, a majority of voters polled have a positive view of the Trump administration.

A Harvard University/Harris poll had President Donald Trump's approval rating at 52%, with voters most satisfied with his job on immigration, reducing the cost of the government, and returning America to its values.

A majority of those polled support Trump's policies on the border, focus on government expenditures, gender, DEI, and offshore drilling but have concerns on his foreign policy involving tariffs, the Israel-Hamas war, and the war in Ukraine.

The poll found 42% of voters believe the country is on the right track, up 14 points from January. Trump's favorability is at 50%, with voters having a favorable view of Vice President JD Vance, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, and Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

The Democratic Party received its lowest approval rating since at least March 2018, with 33% of Democrats, 86% Republicans, and 70% independents disapproving. The Republican Party had an approval rating of 49% while 36% of voters approve of Congress.

"People are taking a generally positive wait-and-see attitude for Trump, but have really reassessed their attitudes toward Biden, Harris, and the Democrats, taking a much harsher, more negative attitude," said Mark Penn, co-director of the Harvard CAPS/Harris poll. "Trump has a real opportunity here – we're seeing a healthy, trudging approval edging toward real approval based on how the next couple of months turn out."

Renaming the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America was the only Trump policy to not receive majority support.

The survey was conducted online within the U.S. from Feb. 19-20 among 2,443 registered voters by the Harris Poll and HarrisX. The margin of error for the total sample is +/- 2.0 percentage points on a 95% confidence level.

It appears that you consider his approval ratings going up a few points over the last several weeks to be "skyrocketing". It doesn't come anywhere close to my definintion of skyrocketing. He's still hovering at leas than 50% approval rating in most polls and the number of people who think the country is going in the wrong direction is significantly lower than that. Trump's first chaotic month as president left a lot to be desired. He still has not articulated a clear vision of what he believes the federal government should look like. All we really know is that he wants less of it. But the details matter and it's a bit concerning that he's not sharing the vision he has, assuming he actually has a clear view of where he wants to take the country.

I'm seeing one positive trend: Trump's administration is finally starting to reign in Musk. Musk wasn't elected to any office and shouldn't have been give the free range he was asserting for himself. Musk also committed the sin of stealing the spotlight from Trump when they appeared together. No president likes that, and Trump especially hates it. He's always wanted to be the center of attention long before stepping into the White House. Mega billionaries tend to be that way, Musk included. This is why it's tricky to get two or more mega billionaires who have a strong desire for publicity to get together. Both are used to getting their own way; but only one will win the battle, and when one of them is the president, that's the one who's going to win those battles.

I didn't CREATE the article, mate.

I simply POSTED the article, WRITTEN by one the many, REAL JOURNALISTS of NEWSMAX.

It is easy to full the hard working under class of white people who continually vote for this clown in charge. When actually they are voting for things that hurt medicaid, medicare and any retirement for which they may have.

You can show them the results and they would blindly follow this buffoon to the end of the earth. My eyes are open and I fully see this for what it is.

Politicians lack the ability to FOOL the electorate, en masse.

Politicians are able to fool, mislead some of the populace.

Need I mention what Tom Sawyer was able to pull off in regards to Aunt Polly's fence, which required white washing.

There'll always be some "easy pickins", but beguiling the majority of the populace these days, isn't as easy as it might have been during the reign of Boss Hogg's predecessors!

Though "Teapot Dome" entered the American political vocabulary as a synonym for governmental corruption, the scandal had little long-term effect on the Republican Party. Calvin Coolidge, a Republican, was elected president in 1924.

And, as we often hear, the rest was history.

Sounds like legacy media talking points to me when in fact, it is just the opposite. Medicaid, Medicare, and all payments direct to individuals are excluded form cuts.

(d) "Covered contracts and grants" means discretionary spending through Federal contracts, grants, loans, and related instruments, but excludes direct assistance to individuals; expenditures related to immigration enforcement, law enforcement, the military, public safety, and the intelligence community; and other critical, acute, or emergency spending, as determined by the relevant Agency Head. Notification shall be made to the agency's DOGE Team Lead.
This is a quote from an EO signed February 26th, just yesterday.

Again, I work in the markets and if he does not free up USDA NRCS funding and holds up the farm bill in anyway then you will see a Reagan era collapse of smaller to medium sized farmers resulting in more corporate control of the agricultural inputs.

Your leader is an idiot and a Moron, I have lost 10-12k in the past few days. The stock and bond markets are spooked and do not like the chaos your der leader is creating. I suggest you look again at what will actually be cut and yes those medicaid or medicare rolls will have work requirements and will have members currently receiving benefits will be purged from the system. I would imagine he will try and replace them with a tariff type of system. Once state taxes are removed personal property will go through the roof. So, far there is not one thing Trump has done that has benefited the average American but he sure has made some billions off of doing this.

I have lost 10-12k in the past few days.
So this is about you?

It's not the first time and it will not be the last. If that is all you have lost (in equity I assume) and you are complaining, then you shouldn't be an investor. The markets go up, they go down, and they correct. Sit tight and you'll get your 12K back.

Henny Penny AKA Chicken Little

"Henny Penny", more commonly known in the United States as "Chicken Little" and sometimes as "Chicken Licken", is a European folk tale with a moral in the form of a cumulative tale about a chicken who believes that the world is coming to an end. The phrase "The sky is falling!" features prominently in the story, and has passed into the English language as a common idiom indicating a hysterical or mistaken belief that disaster is imminent. Similar stories go back more than 25 centuries[1] and "Henny Penny" continues to be referred to in a variety of media.

The story and its name

[edit]
The story is listed as Aarne–Thompson–Uther Index type 20C, which includes international examples of folktales that make light of paranoia and mass hysteria.[2] There are several Western versions of the story, of which the best-known concerns a chick which believes that the sky is falling when an acorn falls on its head. The chick decides to tell the king and, on its journey, meets other animals which join it in the quest. After this point, there are many endings. In the most familiar, a fox invites them to its lair and then eats them all.

In most retellings, the animals have rhyming names, commonly Chicken Licken or Chicken Little, Henny Penny or Hen-Len, Cocky Locky, Ducky Lucky or Ducky Daddles, Drakey Lakey, Goosey Loosey or Goosey Poosey, Gander Lander, Turkey Lurkey, and Foxy Loxy or Foxy Woxy.

In the United States, the most common name for the story is "Chicken Little", as attested by illustrated books for children dating from the early 19th century. In Britain, it is best known as "Henny Penny" and "Chicken Licken".

It is affecting stock/ bond market the equity money market stuff is holding strong. Second, I and a lot of people who voted for Trump did not vote for this. If I would have known he was going to do this then I would have not voted or voted for someone else not kamala Harris.

, I and a lot of people who voted for Trump did not vote for this.
What did you vote for? Afterall, Trump campaigned for more than a year saying exactly what he would do if elected. One of his campaign promises was to cut government waste, fraud, and abuse. The difference between Trump and past presidents that promised the same thing but failed, is that Trump is actually doing it and when the job is done, it will benefit all Americans.

Yeah, but… he *said* this is what he would do. Were you not paying attention? Or did you convince yourself that the leopard wouldn't eat *your* face?

I'm sure you are aware that President Obama promised to do the same thing that Trump is doing now. But Obama didn't do it. But if he had taken his promise seriously and made the cuts that Trump is making, would you feel the same way? Or is it just the name Trump that shapes your attitude?

Not sure who it will benefit but definitely not all Americans. As a matter of fact it will make America more unsafe and create more chaos. I am not sure if you are retired or on VA or whatever but it will definitely take affect and hurt any type of government benefits you receive. I do not think anyone voted for this idiot for him to do what he is doing.

Watching him and Vance attach Zelenskyy on public TV was about the most disturbing thing I have ever witnessed. The mid terms are about to be a democrat sweep.

So - you figured the leopard wouldn't eat *your* face... Surprise!

It was an embarrassment. To us. The world has had it confirmed that the US is no longer a reliable ally.

I suspect that /Obama wouldn't have taken a chainsaw and made cuts wlly-nilly, with no thought for the consequences.
