Incarcerated with no facilities

I was incarcerated for charges that had been dismissed because the bench warrant had not been lifted. Anyhow I was released in my own recognizance and thought that I would be out within a reasonable amount of time. After pretrial released me my name was called to go into holding, when I questioned it they told me that everyone goes onto the floor because of space limitations. I was taken up to another floor on an elevator. When the elevator stopped the guard had me along with three other women go into an elevator vestibule and told us that we would wait there until someone comes and gets us. That was around midnight or so. I started asking at around 430am to use the bathroom. I asked several times and was told that they had call ins and there were no female corrections officers to take us. I told them I was on meds that make me go frequently but they didn't even acknowledge me when I told them that. Someone finally arrived at around 830am and took us. I was then transported to a pod and did not get released for two days later even though I was supposed to have been released that night.
Were my right violated by not allowing me to use the bathroom for that long? Then somehow my paperwork got messed up and I was not released until my family made phone calls. I asked every correction officer that came into my pod and everyone that I spoke to told me it was bookings issue but theirs and they could not fix it.

I suggest you retain the services of a local, criminal defense attorney.

I also suggest NOT to spread your tale of woe via social media. Speak about the INCIDENT with your attorney, ONLY.

Don't be careless or lax in attending to traffic citations and/or the aftermath of a physical arrest. If you don't, you'll only collect more bench warrants, and spend time in filthy jail cells.

Be smart, obey their laws, retain your dignity and freedom!!!!

What happened in the nine hours between these posts?

Even if you're right, so what? If you weren't damaged, this is a lot like a speeding violation that didn't result in a ticket. The driver broke the law, but so what?

Feel free to make a complaint to the sheriff.
What did you do to get the bench warrant in the first place?
The charges that the bench warrant was issued on were dismissed in Dec 2023. The bench warrant was never rescinded.
