You will have to check local laws, but pepper spray and tasers, both available at some sporting goods stores, don't require any training.
Whether it is legal for you to carry those items in public where you live is something you need to find out.

Since my hands no longer allow me to hold my .357 magnum, I carry pepper spray/mace. Check your states laws.

Any liquid that would sting if got in attacker's eyes such as vinegar, sprays, soaps......
Keys can be great weapons. --- go for eyes & throat except you could get in trouble with the law for attacking eyes & throat unless it was an extreme situation. Ribs & groin A pen works too.
